Re: Thread Thingies
Well,

I just remembered this thread, and here is what I just came up with for Threads with new posts.

I uploaded it with this post.

It sticks out, and it's simple. I'm sure you peeps have something better in the works, but how about for a temp fix until we get the Kharak logos up.

Re: Thread Thingies
Yes.
Forgot, been tweaking the mod categorization stuff combining a custom page with links, linked from nav bar. Opinion?

Jaen, make 32*32 and we test...see if You can get some colour in there, and dont forget another one for "hot" threads...www.homeworldaccess.net/themes/Void/forum/folderhot.gif
and locked...

Re: Thread Thingies
So i should make em small ?

24 x 24 is too small IMO I'd rather make 32x32. Okay ?

And you can implement this new thread button Homy. It needs no further tweaking.

Re: Rusty...description on how You did...
Make Homeworld style text. Duplicate. Motion blur.
Then duplicate ur regular text layer. Move it to the left. delete all but the extent. Do the same again, and add some glow. And voila... Maybey i'll write a tut when i have more time... Wink.

Re: Thread Thingies
Considering the originals are like this:
www.homeworldaccess.net/themes/Void/forum/folder.gif

Standard icon sizes are 16-24-32-48 and 62, no? I would guess 24*24?

I hesitate in having them much larger, but a spot of colour somehow...?

Re: Thread Thingies
One thing I should do is darken the white outline on planet. Right now it's unrealistic.

And about size... How do you want ?

Re: Thread Thingies
Thank you very much, Jaen, for this concern! May I request a little bit more, say, golden, yellow, Bentusi-type of colour for the 'new button', so that the contrast to the 'not new' one is still a little bit higher! From my point of view, then this would be a perfect choice. Thanks and enjoy your weekend too.

Please explain the "mixed-link-hw/c/2" and what You mean by that.

See this thread, around May 24. Probably, both of us thought, the other one will do that. Now, I simply suggest, that the first one, who wants to publish such a link, should then implement this "Mixed Homeworld sites" category, ok?

Quote

The [NEW] follows a predefined date-function in the code, but it could be written in to the link text of course. Later to be removed.

As long as it doesn' take too much time ...

Your idea about DeepChrome is good, but I suggest we extend it to Jaen-ni-rin and RiesstuIV as well, since they have contributed too.

Of course, that would be a pleasure too!
