The original release of the Homeworld Unit Viewer lacked the complete set of ships that could be found in Homeworld. I decided to recreate some of the ships that didn't originally make it into the final version of the Homeworld Unit Viewer. There are some important things to note, though, about these releases.

1. I'm not that good at guessing the distances that are needed to view some ships properly, so you may unfortunately find that you have little ability to zoom in or out on some ships, particularly, some of the larger, Mothership class vessels.

2. Following on the same note, on some of the Mothership class vessels, if you zoom out too much, a form of a, 'black wall' persay will cover parts of the model, distorting it's view properly. I am not sure what causes this, and it seems to be part of the viewer itself, and thus I do not currently know a way to fix it.

3. My information on the stats of the ships come from the Homeworld Shipyards ("http://well-of-souls.com/homeworld/hws/index.html"). This includes the "Quick Info" information as well as the actual ship descriptions.

4. On the note of the ship descriptions, there are several factors that go into it. If there is an official description that I can draw from, that is not used elsewhere, then I will use that. In some cases, I will directly use descriptions from the Homeworld Shipyards (with given permission), other times I will use altered versions. And in some cases, when I don't want to use information from the official source or the Homeworld Shipyards, I will do my best to create my own description that tries to use the least fan fiction as possible.

5. In viewing some of the ships, upon loading them, textures will appear missing. If you simply resize the window, then the textures will appear normally. I have no idea what causes this, and as far as I know, there is no way to get around it, but like stated before, the problem is easily fixed.

6. Point of View: Homeworld was designed so that either the Taiidan or Kushan could be considered the Exile race. With the release of Cataclysm, and Homeworld 2, it has become clear that the Kushan are meant to be the Exile race. The problem is, some of the original Taiidani profiles contain information that are from the Taiidan point of view (if they were the Exiles and not the Imperials). To keep everything consistent, some profiles have been altered so everything makes sense.

7. Timeframe: An important detail came up while I was designing the ship profiles, and that is, where along in the Homeworld timeframe is this writing taking place? It could be anywhere between the original Homeworld to the now upcoming Homeworld 2, so I decided that I would write the profiles as if the Kushan Exodus is taking place NOW (that's important to keep in mind). For ships whose profiles I wrote up myself, I usually decided to write the profile as if the ship has just been introduced to the Fleet.

9. Ship list, and credits:

Below is a list of the ships. To the side of the ships I include a little code describing where I got the description from.

R = Original Relic material
A = Obtained from Arioch's Homeworld Shipyards website
O = Original profile by me
M = This is used to signify if I took something from Relic or Arioch and modified it in such a way to make it more consistent.

And now, the ship list

Bentusi Cargo Barge A / M
Bentusi Tradeship A / M
T-Mat Megaship O

3 ships in all

Any questions, comments, complaints, etc will be received at webmaster@newreris.com. If you ask a question that is previously explained in this document, I am giving you a fair warning, I WILL DELETE IT AND WILL NOT RESPOND.

With that out of the way, ENJOY!
