The Second-Best Place For Effects.
This site is a warehouse of my modding work. Most of links lead to weapon effects for the Real Time Strategy game Homeworld. A few effects are designed for the "stand-alone add-on" (whatever that means) Cataclysm, and I've got a bit of Half-Life work as well. If you don't have any of these games, this site probably won't do you much good. The pictures are still pretty, though.
All the effects on this site were made by me, Sjet vs. Kerrigan. You can call me SvK, mainly because that's a lot easier to write. Sometimes I've used meshes, textures, or code pieces from some other modders, but those will be clearly marked.
Feel free to use and modify these effects for your personal use, but if you want to distribute my effects, or effects you modified from my effects, you must get permission from me beforehand.
All the instructions on this site assume you have downloaded the Reformatted Script Files. They may seem technical and confusing, but compared to the original script files, these are child's play. They allow you to install the weapons effects by copying and pasting one chunk of text, instead of searching through a confusing file and typing out the changes manually. The reformatting also allowed for increased flexibility, as changing weapons between slots and across races is much easier.
