Homeworld Effects Manual: every()

every(float time)
{
	...
}

Creates a block of statements at are executed every time seconds.

every() belongs in the eachFrame section of the EBG file. It can occur inside a before or after block. The statements inside the curly braces will execute once every time seconds. The commands will not execute at 0 seconds; that's what the startup section is for. You may use as many every() blocks as you like in one file.

A warning: creating effects too often will eventually cause the game to lock up. The exact frequecy required to lock up seems to vary from computer to computer, but any value for time under 0.1 is probably a bad idea.
