Homeworld Effects Manual: createMeshes()

createMeshes(int num, int numDist)

creates num meshes, plus or minus numDist

num and numDist can be integer constants, or integer variables. Floating-point values are obviously illegal; creating 3.14159 meshes is meaningless. Using a floating-point constant or variable will cause a crash. Leaving out a parameter causes a run-time crash.

createMeshes() creates num meshes, plus or minus numDist meshes. All attributes that are currently active are applied to all smeshes created. Be sure to set either a Mesh or a MeshAnimation, or you won't see anything created. If you want the same number of meshes created every time, numDist should be zero. Otherwise, you'll end up with somewhere between (num + numDist) and (num - numDist) meshes.
