In a thread on the Relic Boards, Mod Man thought that ion beams that pierce their targets would be quite nifty. Frish suggested that, since there is no atmosphere in space to refract the ions and make the beam diffuse, the ion beams should not only pierce their targets, but should keep going off into infinity. Now infinity is a very large number, but I figured 100,000 meters would be long enough. See also the Piercing Ion Beams.

Instructions

Unzip lpierceion.zip into your Homeworld directory. It will put files into the ETG directory that replace the original ion cannon bulletEffects. No further setup is required.
