The effect is named Akira, but there's no obvious connection to the movie. Sorry to those expecting biker gangs beating down fighters. This effect is dedicated to the most under-appreciated mesh and textures in Homeworld. Do you recognize them? No? Maybe because they were included in Homeworld but never used. That has been fixed. The Gravwell not only provides constant visual clues as to its area of effect (even without Tac Overlay) but looks just irregular enough to be cool.

Instructions

Unzip akiragrav.zip into your Homeworld directory. The two files have the same name as the default gravwell effects, so you need not do anything else to make the effect active.
