Standard Shuttlecraft

The Galileo class shuttlecraft is normally used to explore planet surfaces where transporters cannot be used. When the war broke out, the federation found itself with a shuttlecraft that is good for exploration,0 but terrible in combat! I

t has only 1 very weak phaser, and a Styrofoam boulder can break this ship apart! Many a "red shirt" died a glorious, but ultimately useless, death piloting a Galileo. The shuttlecraft is best used as a scout ship, and not in any combat situation.
