Planetkiller

The planet killer is thought to be the weapon of the final conflict between two ancient enemies. First encountered by Captain James T Kirk, the planet killer was destroyed after a long battle, but not before swallowing several alien worlds, and the USS Constellation.

Using a beam of pure energy, the planet killer first blasts its target and then swallows the remnants, which are converted into energy deep inside the beast. Its hull, comprised of pure neutronium, is makes it invulnerable to conventional weapons systems; its only weakness is its 'mouth' which is considerable less armored.

Although the original planetkiller was destroyed, it is not known if additional remain active. Over the years, numerous sensor echoes have been detected but no direct contact has been made. Perhaps the most frightening thought is what else might be lurking out there waiting to be discovered.
