Although the Ferengi Government has not officially joined the war with the Dominion, certain factions exist that have saw profit to be made.
These Mercenaries will work for the highest bidder during times of war. Although they never get directly involved in the conflict they will "salvage" enemy vessels.

The Ferengi salvage ships have weak armour but sport very powerful tractor beams. When several ships work together they can salvage almost anything. Once a ship is held in a tractor beam, an EMP feedback loop is
used to short out the systems of the captured vessel.

Once disabled the ship can be towed back to the nearest base and refitted or reverse engineered.
