Boreth Class

As with all the other Governments involved the Dominion War demanded a rethink in ship production. For years the Vorcha acted as the Klingon Empires heavyweight, the K'Vort and K'Tinga its medium ranged vessels and the B'Rel its attack fighter. With the start of the war the NeghVar was introduced as the new superior class, and a new medium ranged vessel was needed. The K'Tinga especially was simply ineffeicitent due to its age. The Boreth though not significanty more powerful is alot cheaper and quicker to produce, with modern shielding and hull design, and is slowly replacing the K'tinga on the front lines.
