Type 9

The Type 9 Shuttle is the latest shuttle design incorporating advances in shielding and sensors as well as warp field technology. It was the first shuttle to be allowed to travel above warp 6, no longer disrupting subspace. Due to its smaller size it hasnt entirely replaced the Type 6, but it is used in covert and scouting operations on the front lines, a duty the Type 6 was removed from some years ago. During the war some shuttles were equipped with even more extensive sensor pallettes and acted as remote sensors for Alliance Fleets and Outposts.
