Prometheus Class

The Prometheus is a testbed for several new technologies, including the much anticipated multi-vector-assault mode which allows the ship to separate into three sections, each armed to the teeth. In trials runs this has proved to be extremely effective against single targets however tests against multiple small hostiles have not proven as successful.

New weapons systems such as type 12 phasers and quantum torpedoes also feature heavilly on the Prometheus, ablative armour also gives it a major advantage over existing ships.

Since the start of the Dominion war, trials have been accelerated in the hope that the Prometheus may see active duty.
