Norway Class

The Norway class starship was designed along side the Akira, Steamrunner and Intrepid classes. Its purpose was to fill a fleetwide surplus of light exploration vessels, and also to serve as a light patrol ship in well traveled areas.

During the recent Borg invasion, and the war with the Dominion, the Norway has seen combat duty. Used mainly in a defensive manner, the Norway has help avert several Dominion offensives on the front lines. Its advanced weapons and speed also make it a useful ship for escorting larger cruisers.
