Miranda Class

Along with the Excelsior, the Miranda is one of the oldest vessels still in active service. Designed to support Constitution class starships and serve as exploration vessels, the Miranda has more recently been upgraded with advanced weapons systems and seen battle against the Borg and Dominion.

These fast ships have proven they are still a threat, excelling at hit and run missions and provding crucial support in fleet actions.

Using such new technology on an old design has however proved troublesome, lack of power has forced many ships to have their warp cores upgraded, and the Miranda's weak armor is evident in the number of losses this class sustains.
