Orbital Weapons Platform

As the War continued, the Dominion was gradually being worn down and running out of ships. The sheer number of systems on the Romulan, Klingon and Federations borders that needed protecting streched the production of Cardassian Shipyards. Under Dominion pressure Cardassian military technicans developed the unmanned Orbital Weapons Platforms to defend the newly acquired gains of the Cardassian Union. Based on an existing system, these new platforms offered more firepower than a warship.

With regenerative shielding, 3 Spiral Wave Disruptors and 1000 Plasma Torpedoes these installations are formidable opponents. If this kind of technology was deployable on a warp capable starship, the war would have been over very quickly. This practically stationary target makes easy target practice if you have sufficient firepower, but expect heavy losses if you use anything but the most advanced of starships.
