Groumel

The Groumel has served as the mainstay freighter of the Cardassian Union for over 30 years. Though it's had technological upgrades the basic five hold structure has remained the same. It design is devoted to freight and 90% are unarmed with only a mininal shielding design, relying on escort by Hideki Patrol Vessel whilst traversing Cardassian Space. Though many were lost to the Maquis and Klingons the Alliance is allowing the Cardassian freight companies to begin rebuilding their stocks.
