Breen MPWG

The MPWG, or the Multiphasic Photon Wave Generator, is another example of the Breen's capability and expertise in electronic warfare. The MPWG, when activated, generates a field of multiphasic photon particles that disrupt in-flight pulse weapons and torpedoes. The weapons are deflected by the photon particles at the edge of the field, often right back at the ship that fired them. It is wise to note the field cannot be directly controlled; it effects friendly and enemy weapons alike.

This field is incredibly energy intensive, limiting deployment time. The MPWG's will often have to have several minutes of cool-down time before another field can be generated.

MPWG's often find service with other Breen vessels in areas that the Dominion is outnumbered or outgunned; the nature of the MPWG makes it an equalizer when combat starts.
