Texturing Tutorial II

Now I will quickly explain the functions of it:

Group button

This will give a list of all the groups on your model. To alter the texture coordinates you must have the group selected in Milkshape AND in the Texture coordinate editor (TCE). Otherwise you can't do anything in TCE.

Scale view button

This allows you to increase or decrease the size of the .bmp on your screen. So on my screen scale = 1.0 is the size you see at the moment (which isn't very useful for accurately moving the texture coordinates) and a scale size = 4.0 fills the screen completely on my PC allowing me to accurately move the texture coordinates.

Remap button

This allows you to select a view (top, bottom, left, right, font and back) and assign the texture from that view. For instance I've now assigned the texture from the top (it was from the front)

Scale button

By holding the left mouse button and moving the mouse you can scale the selected coordinates. In the pic below I've squashed the coordinates.

Rotate button

Again quite obvious this allows you to rotate the selected coordinates. In the pic below I've rotated it about 90 degrees.
