Relic Chief Blasts Pirates
PC: Relic CEO Alex Garden has slammed the "primordial ooze" that leaked his deep space RTS title Homeworld to pirates.
Although Garden was "glad that people got a chance to play the game" before a solid version was released by Relic, he expressed his fury over the Russian and Malaysian pirates who are currently selling the game for profit.
Speaking on a Microsoft Gaming Zone chat session, Garden softened on the issue of the lone pirate obtaining games for the sake of curiosity. "Really, the casual pirate is more interested in the thrill of discovering some way to work around the system than to actually steal from developers," he said.
"I can't blame people for wanting to try it out early," he continued, but was "seethingly angry at the primordial ooze that leaked the game".
