Sierra: Homeworld 2 Rumors Not True

The company has spoken on the rumors swirling around the Internet about Homeworld 2.

August 20, 2001

According to Sierra, rumors flying around the Internet that Homeworld 2 has been cancelled are not true.

We contacted a Sierra representative today and they told us there's no way the game could have been cancelled by Sierra yet because they are still in negotiations with Relic and it hasn't even officially been approved to be produced.

The company also said for legal reasons, they couldn't make any official comments or quote about the game.

The original Homeworld, developed by Relic Entertainment and published by Sierra, was one of the best real-time strategy games of the past two years.
