Metal soundtracks, airborn gaming, and corporate slaying.

- The Sound of Crunching Metal
Psygnosis has announced plans to give gamers a soundtrack featuring Fear Factory, Cirrus, and Empirion with a pre-order of Demolition Racer for the PlayStation and the PC. Citing the success of the Test Drive game music, Accolade has decided to integrate music even more heavily into Demolition Racer. The PC version will hit into the side of stores (causing sever damage) in mid-October.
- Homeworld Gets High
Homeworld will get into a bit lower altitude in September as it is featured in the in-flight 60 second program "The High Tech Minute," which gives jittery airborn commuters a bit of high-tech info to combat the shuddering waves of nausea and fear normally associated with plane travel.
- Take-Two Interactive Take Triad
Take-Two Interactive has acquired Triad Distributors and Global Star Software in order to merge them into Jack of All Games Canada. Both companies reside in the same facility in Concord, Ontario, and focus on the distribution and development of budget titles.
- Age of Puzzles
Age of Empires fans can get a sneak peak of the new Age of Kings packaging -- but there's a catch. The box art is hidden in a Pandora's Box puzzle, which can be dowloaded at the Age of Empires 2 website. If you haven't had a chance to check out Pandora's Box, the new puzzle game from Microsoft, this is a perfect chance. Or just download the extended demo at the Pandora's Box website.
