"Homeworld Cataclysm...actually surpasses its predecessor"

Trust You Enemies, But Be Wary of Your Friends
What can I say? It's all there. Sierra has made it extremely easy to sign up for an account on WON.NET by actually incorporating it into the game. To make it even more appealing, this service is absolutely free. Cool. Personally, I prefer skirmishes against the CPU, than against a human opponent, since that way I actually have a chance of winning. It helps a tad more that I set it so that the Computer has the brains and initiative of a peanut. For the few times that even this opponent is too difficult for me, I simply play against eXile. Works fine for me.

Final Thoughts...
After all is said and done, Homeworld Cataclysm is a prime example of how to make a sequel that not only lives up to the original, but actually surpasses its predecessor. If you enjoyed Homeworld, there is no reason for you not to get this game. The storyline is engaging, the sound effects are astounding, and the graphics are better than ever. To add more to Barking Dog Studios’ credit, Homeworld’s intuitive gameplay remains unchanged, while the addition of repair queues and compressed time make this sequel all the more worthwhile. Although the changes implemented to the research and upgrade methods are an acquired taste, they work well enough in single player to hardly be noticed. Simply put, Cataclysm rocks!
