Readers of gaming website GameSpot.com chose Homeworld as the best-looking
PC game of all time this week. More than 3,500 readers were polled in the
survey.
Homeworld 2, the sequel to PC Gamer's 1999 Game of the Year, is currently
under development. To register for more

Though Homeworld has no mod support, many very talented mod experts have been inspired to change
its game play and to refit it with other popular science fiction universes, including Freespace,
Wing Commander, Star Trek and Babylon 5.

Thanks to the efforts of Kiith Barking Dog, research has been completed on Homeworld:
Cataclysm, the next stand-alone episode in the Homeworld Universe. The Sierra Mothership is
cranking out the new units now, and the game will ship this Friday, September 1. Expect
it to arrive in stores across the US & Canada by September 15th.
Here's something you won't find anyplace else — two MP3s of Cataclysmic music. The
Turanic Battle
is the result of Greg Sabitz putting a fresh twist on Paul Ruskay's original Turanic music from Homeworld.
Greg was joined by fellow Studio X Labs musician Todd
Shillington in putting together the "house-flavored"
End Credits.
