Homeworld Cataclysm picks up the epic story of the journey to mankind's ancestral home planet of Higaara, where the original Homeworld left off.

Homweorld Cataclysm was developed by Barking Dog studios, most famous for their incredibly popular Half-Life modification: Counterstrike. They are bringing a novel approach to the presentation of the core strategy game that Homeworld was. Through the use of many morphing units with variable abilities and configurations, Barking Dog have aimed to create a game with far more flexible units and subtle complexities. A new race of intergalactic travellers, the Beast, are able to biologically and technologically subvert craft and crews from their enemies, assimilating them into their own force.
