FiringSquad says:
The gameplay of the Homeworld series is now cemented as revolutionary. Games in the future will either draw upon this series as influence, or out and out steal its ideas. Homeworld and its sequel, Cataclysm, have done more for RTS than all others save perhaps Herzog Zwei and the PC Classic Dune 2000.
The multiplayer of Cataclysm is unrivaled, offering up even more options than the original. The only truly major complaint offered is the issue of a poor storyline. The first con, a small player base, is our ignorance as gamers and is certainly not a flaw in the game's design.
Graphics, music and gameplay, all form into a near-perfect game worthy of the test of time. For that, we're giving Homeworld: Cataclysm this Editor's Choice.
