Welcome

Welcome to Erick's Models. This is my place to show the models I've built and explain how I built them. I may not be the world's best modeler, but I have a good amount of experience. I've split my site into three sections. The first section is the Gallery. I have many of the models that I have built and previews of what I am going to build. The second section is for my Paper Models. I've built some, designed some, and even have a few tutorials on how to make paper models from certain computer games. And last is a small section where you'll find my Tips and Advice. I don't have a lot of advice that you can't find elsewhere, but I have a few good tings to look at. There are also a few other things scattered around, so feel free to look around.

So, browse around and have fun. I try to update the site whenever I get more to put on here. Of course, this is just a hobby, so work and life can prevent me from doing a lot to my site. But I try to update it every once in a while, so check back from time to time. And finally, if you have any questions or comments feel free to e-mail me.

  • The Gallery
Browse the models I've made over the past few years.
  • Paper Models
Look here for my paper models for download and tutorials.
  • Tips and Advice
I have a few tips and advice for those who are interested.

Once you've gone through all that, you can also see my better half. My wife has a great site on MySpace for you to check out. Feel free to check out both sides of our family.

What's New

Updated July 16, 2007

Wow, I actually got some stuff done this month! I managed to finish off a model that I was designing. Now you can get the grand father of the Atlas rocket family: the RTV-A-2 Hiroc. It's a small model and won't take up too much space, so that's all the more reason to get the model and make it. I'm also working on a couple more rockets right now, and I hope to get them done sooner or later. I just need to stop playing video games. Damn those terrorists. I must save Vegas! Although I have to admit, I've never heard of the Calypso Casino, Vertigo Spire, or Dante’s Casino that show up in the game. You think I would have considering I live in Las Vegas. Hmmm, strange...

Anyway, the video game craze is actually dying down now. I think I'm getting back into modeling. I know, crazy. It's like a huge Foucault pendulum you see in all the science museums. I swing back and forth, but I also change direction as the earth rotates. Or something like that. I think I've got too many hobbies sometimes. But I like doing so much, how I can I just choose one? I'm just a computer/sci-fi/video game/rpg/modeling geek and I need it all! (And my wife says I'm quite the love machine, but that's not what this website is about.) Uh, anyway, maybe I should get one of these.

What I'm Working On

So, for those of you who are new here, I was focusing on two areas: stealth aircraft and paper models. I've since switched to one focus: doing models. I'm in the process of cranking out a few of them. I'm in more of a paper model mode right now, but I'd like to get back to plastic models. I also crank out a couple paper models for download from time to time. It just depends on what I feel like doing.

Here's the ever changing list. Hopefully I won't get side tracked yet again.

  • Saturn 1B (Paper)
  • Ariane 5 (Paper)
  • General Dynamics F-16XL
  • P-38 Lightning (my wife likes it)
  • Robotech Defender's Condor
  • Robotech Defender's Gartan
  • Enterprise-A
  • Cessna T-37B Tweet
