Kharak System

Ship testing and Hyperdrive shake down preparation. You will test the function of several ships and do some fighter testing to prepare for the journey ahead.

Mission Objectives

1. Construct research ship

Build a research ship for technology research, only one will be needed for the entire game so don't bother wasting resources on more.

2. Collect resources

You are to collect the resources located in the local area.

3. Destroy target drones using a formation

A wing of 7 scouts is in delta formation in front of the mothership, you are to send them to attack and destroy the target drones at point A in the screen shot, using a formation other than delta. Point A is 22 Km from the MS and is at 300 degrees on the compass.

4. Destroy target drones using tactics

Using the same 7 scouts attack and destroy the target drones at location B on the screen shot. You must use either aggressive or evasive tactics in this attack. Point B is 22 KM from the MS at 345 degrees on the compass.

5. Salvage a target drone

You must build then command a salvage corvette (salvette) to salvage a drone from point C on the screen shot. Point C is 18 KM from the MS at the 300 degree compass point.

What I do

I follow all the objectives for this mission as they are opened to me, this mission is short and simple. The only thing I do different is that I retire the 7 scouts I was given for the resources as soon as I no longer need them. Scouts are not very likely to survive undamaged in the next few missions so I recover the few RUs I can from them for much hardier ships.
