Each support module provides 10 SUs (Support Units), on the command ship and 12 on the carriers. They cost 300 RUs each and once researched, its recommended that you max the build out on them so you don’t have to worry about not having enough and needing to add a few more on your CS. Once you build a carrier, you will have enough SUs to sustain a nice sized attack force. If you are fighter rushing, then build 4 modules then your weapons module... then the other 8 support modules.

Be careful not to waste RUs on building support modules that you really don’t need yet. Try to maintain just a few more SU than you need at the moment. That way, your money can be spent equally on an offensive force rather than having a surplus of RUs and no SUs to build (or vice versa) This is most important during the first 8 minutes of the game, you must pay attention to your build manager!
