THQ Closes Acquisition of Relic Entertainment

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2004--THQ Inc. (Nasdaq:THQI - News) today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of leading PC development studio, Relic Entertainment. The all cash transaction closed on Thursday, April 29, 2004.

Relic's upcoming real-time strategy (RTS) title, "Warhammer 40,000Ž: Dawn of War(TM)," is scheduled for release this fall. Relic also has in development for THQ projects for PC and next-generation consoles.

Other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
