HW
Primer: Special Thanks
Thanks
go to TAKER (of course) for the
first Help file for map makers, his Excel fetish and his stellar
help and comments on the creation of the original HW Primer.
To
Hellhawk666 for the original Quick
Reference files and his early version proofreading, its
greatly thanks to him why this Primer grew so much from TAKER's
original help file.
For
their help to me in learning the mapmaking process, an
extra special thanks goes to Hellhawk666,
BPLlama, Obithrawn,
and
Jacelor,
and to everyone that answered any 'how to' post I put up with
methodical regularity on the various boards.
Thanks
to Shin and Hellhawk666
for the original idea of what became the Primer, their input
and encouragement throughout. Also Shin
gets special kudos (and his name in the title) first pointing
me to the bulk of the files that eventually became the Primer,
it was such a nightmare as documents were scattered far and
wide in those days, and I thought, there must be an easier
way...
/Downslope\ For his backgrounds,
proofreading and ever helpful comment and praise, thanks mate.
See how I never mentioned the broken Background file included
with v1.6? heh.
Aged
For his feedback and comments on the tutorial - if any of you
have seen the original tutorial in v1.7 and the latest here
in v2.1 then you have Aged to thank
for its hefty upgrade and status. From me though; thanks for
all the extra work it entailed, mate.
To
The Homeworld Fusion Team, especially
[RED]Panther who has a lot to thank
for in the design of this Primer, as well as actually giving
me the impetus to get HW:C primer done in the first place. And
helping me learn the wiley ways of Dreamweaver3, oh, and supplying
Dreamweaver3. Also a great deal of advice and feedback on its
design and writing throughout. heh, Thanks Panth!. Lastly but
by no means least from the rest of the team I would like to
single out for thanks [RED]Somtaaw-Sa
who gave it the primer its first once over in its beta
stages and Green3, RED
Vypr and Rhino who gave
it a last going over on the Project Red release Day.
Thanks for the all the help encouragement the lot of you.
To
The Reflection for pretty much
all the HW:C object data, nice one.
And
last but by no means least, to any
and all of the budding mapmakers in the Homeworld
Community who took the time to read the primer, and write,
praise, flame or at least comment on the Primer. Its a good
community and I am happy to do my bit for it.
Thank
You.
Dylov
