Born 1977 - Played first video game at age 3 - First Transformer was the silver and blue Datsan 280 ZX: Bluestreak, the exact same car that my father drove…

Yeah, I had a great childhood.

A few years passed and I found myself in Mechanical Engineering at Queen's University. Sufficed to say I partied too much and, to the dismay of my parents and girlfriend, played far too many games. My years at Queen's can be easily categorized by the games that filled my waking hours, and not the classes that I attended.

Midway through my second year I was fortunate enough to team up with my incredible housemate to create a video game about our famed first-year "initiation" activity, the Greasepole climb. A year-and-a-half later, with some fantastic help and a lot of work, we had made it, marketed it, sold it, and learned more than in any course offered. After experiencing the production of a product that size, and the gratification I felt the night we debued on the wall sized screen at Clark Hall Pub where I worked, I knew that my days of Engineering were over.

I dropped out, packed up my gear, bid my friends farewell, and headed West to attend the Vancouver Film School's 3D Animation & Effects program. After graduation I lived a childhood dream working on the fabulous Transformers Beast Machines series at Mainframe for a short while as an animator. Now I've come back to games with a vengeance, working with the amazing Relic team on Sigma.
