His interest in business started at an early age. At 18, Curtis ventured into a partnership and bought a restaurant that was very successful. After selling out his share, he invested his earnings in real estate where he quickly lost due to climbing interest rates and a recession in the early 80's. With few jobs available, he returned to school and eventually completed his Masters Degree in Economics from Queen's University. Following a year of employment at Queen's, Curtis worked for Fedex nine years and held various positions in Finance, Strategic Planning, Pricing and ended his career as Service Systems Manager for Western Canada. Curtis made the jump to Relic Entertainment in July 98 after Ron convinced him his skills and contribution would be better utilized and appreciated by Relic. The move has been challenging and rewarding. The challenges come from a job description that is very broad and the rewards come from working with very bright, motivated individuals who strive to develop the best games in the industry.
