Ahhh, now THIS is how to do a Kadeshi map! Well, sort of. It is fun against the computer if you have a hankering for everyones favorite Aliens (or are they aliens?) but it is unbalanced if you are not the host. However, it comes with a Kadeshi Free Version that is awesome, and thats because it is a great map.

Its overall design is pretty good. It is large, very dense collum of resources in the middle, with 6 arms spiraling outward. Players (2-6) start out at the edge of these arms, in a pocket of resources. The resources at the start are large enough to make a good sized fleet before following the arm to the center, where the bulk of the resources (and Conflict) lie. Controlling the center is key on this map, but it is large enough so that 2 or 3 people can control it at once. This provides interesting strategies, such as Minelayers, or simply basing your fleet there. The map size, however, means it is very difficult to get your Mothership there. The size and number of Resources can lead to slowdown, esspically since your gonna reach the limit cap with so many RU's availble to you.

It makes great use of 3D, since the Arms are layered, and 2 pairs of Motherships start within close distance of each other (vertically) making for some tense conflicts early on. However, getting involved early can be a mistake, since games on this map can last several hours.

In all, this map is great for Teamplay, Teams, and especially for Treaties and Treason. I like it and play on it whenever I know I have the time for a nice long game. Definitly a required download for any Homeworldite.
